The web pages of the German node of the International Year of Astronomy 2009 are a joint effort of German activities of public interest and cover the fields of astronomy and astrophysics. They are maintained by an association of amateur astronomers and astrophysicists.

The web pages address readers in Germany; pages in English language are provided for readers in Germany who are not able to read Geman language. We recommend to read the IYA pages of other countries if you are not located in Germany.
